need evidence real quick

people deem it good, they mock others for not doing it that way. people say that it's really beneficial, that everyone should do it and there is no excuse not to. everyone. just. has. to. do. it.

but lately it just came to me, wait, where is the studies on that? why do people in my circle really encourage that movement, but hell, all they're doing is giving opinions, not facts.

so being a 19 year old that i am, i looked it up, on google. why do we really have to do this? are their "opinions" true? are there really someone, an intelligent, a scientist, a researcher, who actually studies and make a journal about this so intensively?

believe me when i say that, damn it's logically correct. when you think about it, using your full-of-idealism, positivism, un-skeptical (and rather, unexperienced) brain, you're gonna say, oh, right, that's true. all this time, i've been buying into that as well.

but what i've been missing on is that, those are just opinions. and like all other opinions, they may not be entirely true. i need facts, data, evidence.

so i looked it up,
and didn't find anything concrete to support that idea.

and that right there is why i have trust issues.

"but ariska, they're all saying the same thing. it's everybody's opinions so it must be true"

well lemme tell ya. everybody says technology is good for education you know because we're all "digital-natives" or something along that line?
well it's wrong. it's not necessarily good for education, at least for now.

all the articles i've read about "it's good for education" don't include statistics and data, while those who state the contrary include datas. dataS. with an S, plural, various studies.

so i'm not being a pessimist, i'm just asking here.

why, people, why?

p.s. now that i think about it, that idea really generalizes people, and it's not that good. i need studies and evidence. plS HELP (for i actually don't have so much driving force i'm willing to put into doing this as well, soooOOOO yeah. i'm so picky about this. if people want me to do everything, you know what, i'm sick of that)
